Enfield Ct,
Tel:
JOHN PEASE, (Nathaniel/ Robert/ Robert/) second son of Nathaniel and Elizabeth (Ashly) Pease of Salem, was born at Salem, February 4, 1704; married Elizabeth Goodwin of Newbury, July 29, 1726, and settled in Salem. He was a cordwainer. He was living at Salem in 1756; could find no record of the time of his death.
Elizabeth Pease, widow, made her will dated 1788. She was probably his relict. She gave her property principally to three daughters, viz. :
35. 1. Martha Pease, who was made executrix.
36. 2. Susannah.
37. 3. Sarah.
Small legacies were given to the following who may also have been her children:
38. 4. Phebe Blaee.
39. 5. James Pease.
40. 6. Mary Pease.
Essex County and Salem Town Records are silent as to any further history of the above named family. Felt, in his Annals of Salem, mentions under date of February, 1797, the name of James Pease, who, among others, had recently returned from Algerine captivity, and states that he was apportioned his share in a benefit given to such sufferers by the Boston Theater. It is probable he belonged to this family.
